windows 7 Ultimate not showing as genuine when it is

Question
-
I have contacted Microsoft directly to their head office by post and await their reply. However I purchased a genuine upgrade from a reputable education sales department and validated my copy of the software Win 7 Ultimate, upgrade. I was given the activation details at the time of activation. I am no computer genius, i just know a little about them when I look at Start-Computer-Properties the splash screen identifies my copy of windows as Genuine but I keep recieving a pop up stating that my copy is not genuine. As i say I am awaiting a reply from Microsoft, but contacted them by phone on the 17/09/2012 I got through to a customer service person and after explaining my status was passed through to technical who after an hour of waiting on the phone did not listen to a word i said and preceeded to tell me that to activate my product I would need to pay them £35.00. I was absolutely livid and wrote to microsoft directly.
I can see there are several options on the forum that may be usful to people who have a clue what the solutions mean, I don't. What i do know is that Microsoft sold me a product and then sent some kind of software to my system to check it's validity and for what ever reason comes up as not valid. This is Their issue as far as I am concerned should be down to them to sort it out. Why should i have to sort it out at my expense and utilise my time. Surely the route is to take the matter to the authority, probably collectively. If I were using pirate software I could understand but I am not furthermore if I purchased something from a shop i would expect that product to be fit for purpose, obviously by microsofts own admission this product is not.
Am I on my own on this issue, is there only me who feels this way. If Microsoft are aware of an issue they ought to be doing something to correct it, afer all they make enough money from genuine customers alike. After all they are obviously quick enough to send the genuine software tool, the fact that it has a glitch is not my problem.

That's pretty bold talk from someone who has a pirated Volume Licensing installation of Office Professional 2003 and who almost certainly has a pirated Volume Licensing installation of Front Page 2003.

The mismatches suggest that you need to reinstall the Intel Rapid Storage Drivers. This can be caused by a recent update.
Download the Intel Rapid Storage Drivers from here:
http://bit.ly/xmcovN
You’ll need the set for the x64 (64-bit) platform on Win7.
Once complete, please reboot twice, then post another MGADiag report.
Good Luck!Colin Barnhorst Windows 7 Ultimate x64 on DIY with 8GB ram.
