Billing and Account Management temporarily unavailable RRS feed

  • Question

  • Received email to update subscription data.  Billing and Account Management page has "temporarily unavailable" message for over a week.  Used https://billing.microsoft.com and received this error.  Is there another link?

  • That is the correct link. Can you confirm that you are signing in at that URL with your subscription ID? That would be the LiveID shown as Subscription ID when you open OneCare and click Help/About.

If you are unable to access your account information and have confirmed that you are using the correct LiveID, please contact support -

  • fybcdave, Please send me an email at sboots@mvps.org with a subject line including "OneCare Billing Link" (to get past my spam filtering) and in the message body, tell me what country you are in, your forum nickname, and paste this link http://forums.microsoft.com/WindowsOneCare/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=3292766&SiteID=2. I am not online 24x7 (though I sometimes seem to be!), so you may be waiting for a reply, but I'll do my best to hook you up with support.

  • I had the same problem. Received this fix from Hotmail Plus Customer Support. It worked for me:

The issue related to the site unavailable error that you received when you tried to view your credit card information on Billing and Account Management website can be caused by the temporary internet files on your browser. Once these cookies are already full, they can sometimes prevent your browser from opening secured websites. Thus, you received this error when you tried to access the website.

For you to be able to sign in to the website to be able to view your billing account, I provided steps for you to clear the internet cache files and cookies on your computer as this may be the cause why you cannot access the billing website.

    On Internet Explorer:

    1. Open Internet Explorer.

    2. Click on Tools.

    3. From the Tools menu select the option labeled Internet Options.

    4. Under the General tab locate the section labeled Browsing History and select the Delete option.

    5. Select the Delete Files option next to Temporary Internet Files and the Delete Cookies next to Cookies. ONLY delete the temporary internet files and cookies, and DO NOT delete any additional settings. (NOTE: I found I also had to deselect the "Preserve Favorites Website Data" box.)

    6. Select Close.

If you are using Mozilla Firefox:

    1. Using Mozilla, open an internet explorer window.

    2. Choose the menu option labeled Tools.

    3. Select the option labeled Internet Options.

    4. Locate the section labeled Private Data and select the Settings option.

    5. This will bring up a window labeled Clear Private Data and from there, check all of the checkbox options listed EXCEPT for Saved Password.

    6. Select OK.

Once you have cleared the temporary internet files, please try to sign in to the Billing and Account Management website again. Please visit http://billing.microsoft.com, and then sign in with your Hotmail email address.
