Office 2007 and windows 7 RRS feed

  • I am moving from xp on one machine to windows 7 home premium on another. Will Office 2007 transfer OK?

    That would apply to retail licenses but not OEM licenses.

    If you do this on the XP computer it will tell us what we need to know about the Office that you want to move to the W7 computer:

    In order to receive the best support, we request all users initially download and run the Genuine Diagnostics tool at this link http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=52012. Click "Run" several times to download and start the Utility.  When asked, click the "Continue" button.  When the utility completes its run, click the "Copy" button, then come back here and paste the report into your post.

  • Hello alanbod,

    Yes, you can transfer a license between two computer as long you remove/uninstall it on the computer you are transferring it from. If the license allows it to be installed on 2 computers, it may only be installed on 2 computer at ANY point in time.
