Still can not delete OneCare Backup files RRS feed

  • I have tried the following command line function below to no effect.  Can you help me get to where I can delete the contents of sub-folders of folder <2009> in the path  <F:\Windows OneCare Backup\VALUEDCUSTOM-PC\2009>

    Error returned below:

    C:\Users\Valued Customer>takeown F:\Windows OneCare Backup\VALUEDCUSTOM-PC /f 20
    ERROR: Invalid argument/option - 'F:\Windows'.
    Type "TAKEOWN /?" for usage.

  • There's something wrong with your syntax here and the switches. Try this out:

    C:\Users\Valued Customer>TAKEOWN /F "F:\Windows OneCare Backup\VALUEDCUSTOM-PC"

    You need to enclose the path with quotations else the console will read into the spaces thus giving you the error.
