  • I have just purchased live onecare and i am not able to activate it. It keeps saying finish setting up live onecare and i can't get past there. I do sign in using my winows live ID but it says it's not correct. I have tried making a new windows live ID but that hasen't worked either. I have reinstalled it and it still won't work.  So far this is the most annoying antivirus product i've ever used. Please is there anyone who can help.

  • Is your password longer than 8 characters? If so, shorten it at http://account.live.com and try again. Once activated, change it back to whatever you desire. I think you've run into an activation bug with the password length.

  • Wow. Thank you so very much. I just shortened my password and it is now working.

    I was able to activate my account now.
