Technology behind these forums

  I am curios to know the underlying technology stack of MSDN/TechNet forums.
  Are these forums built using SharePoint or some other product?
  
  It would be great if MS publishes a Case Study/Showcase article/Video on Channel 9 for such applications which are developed by MS and used by many users around the world.
