Account Verification Thread RRS feed

  • Question

  • There are a large number of "OMG why can't I post images" or "Please verify my account" threads and the numbers are only increasing.  Instead of making a new "Verify Your Account" thread every time the old one gets too full, why can't a moderator just flush all the old requests and empty it out?  Leave the first instructional post and keep it pinned.  At least there won't be the complaints that the thread is locked when people try to access an old one.  Plus a single link would be sufficient instead of having to update it when the next iteration comes out.

We have been on the internet now for many years.  Forum management should be way more efficient than "Verify Your Account 5" or "Report SPAM here 15".

  • Because of limitations. The threads would still fill up because the mods can see deleted posts. So same limitations.

And then people would complain that their posts are gone.

The ideal solution is a submission and tracking tool. But it's not a high enough priority for them.

You can suggest the tool by emailing fissues at Microsoft.

    Thanks!
