Converting Money Plus to Money Plus Sunset RRS feed

  • Question

  • Do I want to convert to Money Plus Sunset?  All my data is input manually and I do not pay any bills from it.

My uses are very basic and it is not linked to any other programs or site.

    Is the conversion easy?

  • If you are using the US version of Money Plus, you will find that Money Plus Sunset is very similar.  Sunset specifically disables the online functions, but those don't work in Money Plus anyway.  I believe that there were a few improvements made when Sunset was issued, but they are very minor.

To convert, just download the Money Plus Sunset file from the second "sticky" in this forum:

run it to install Money Plus Sunset, and then use it to open your existing mny file.  Once you verify that all is well, you can uninstall your current version of Money Plus.

If you do install Money Plus Sunset you may want to apply the mnyob99.dll patch described in the first "sticky" in this forum:

The patch is not necessary for systems running Windows 7 or 8, but it does fix a bug that could conceivably reappear in future versions of Windows.
