XP Home SP2 - no activation wizard on my system RRS feed

  • Question

  • I've just installed an ethernet card on my system to enable broadband. On reboot there was a "you have 3 days to activate" dialog.

I have activated my OS several years ago without problem.

I have searched high and low for the Activation Wizard but it is nowhere to be found.

    Catch 22.

I also cannot currently access Windows Updates.

I have wpa.dbl on my system but no wpa.bak.

Run: oobe/msoobe /a results in a "cannot find" dialog.

How can I get things rolling again?

    Many thanks ~ John

  • Gigasquid,

Search for msoobe.exe on your computer
