Portuguese translation (Brazil vs. Portugal) RRS feed

  • Question

  • The Translator states the at the Translator header Portuguese (Brasil)  but most of the time the translation comes in Potuguese (Portugal). Is this a bug or I need to configure correctly? The words like efectuado, eléctrico, acção and secção for instance are not Brazilian Portuguese but Portugal Portuguese and this fact causes me problems.

    Anyone knows a solution?

  • Yes. There is now pt-pt and pt-br, and you can train systems for each separately. The underlying Microsoft models are the same for both. Except when using category="Tech", where they are different.

  • On Sept 12, 2014 we recieved an email saying "We now differentiate between Brazilian and European Portuguese, so you can train specific systems for these two locales. Choose between “Portuguese (Brazil)” and “Portuguese (Portugal)” when setting up the project." Does it mean there are new language codes for Iberian and Brazilian Portuguese?
