Failure [0xC3EC7921] Invalid meeting content directory set for IIS virtual directory. Please make sure the directory ends with W RRS feed

  • Question

  • I cant believe how I can get this error.

Because I setup a brand new computer with windows 2003 r2 EE

    installed IIS etc

Did all prerequisite things like SRV records

Did all the domain prep things

And when i deploy the server, it ends with this error:

Failure [0xC3EC7921] Invalid meeting content directory set for IIS virtual directory. Please make sure the directory ends with W

    ADsPath: IIS://dc.<mydomain>.com/W3SVC/1/ROOT/etc/place/null/filetree

I am sure this problem must have been addressed before, but for some reason, MS's search functionality is not working. So please forgive me If this is a duplicate issue. Please point me to the right case or provide a solution.

    Thanks

  • I resolved this by using this method:

Uninstalled only the web components server.

    Then uninstalled IIS completely.

    Installed IIS back.

Then restarted the deploy server installation.

I have no idea why this worked, but it really works.

    Closing this case!
