CRM4: Relationship Behaviour Change, Save Error RRS feed

  • Hi All, 

    We are in the process of changing some settings, and we have got to the relationships.
    We are trying to change the relationship between account owner and case owner so that it does not inherit.
    Whilst doing the above we have come across the below error which stopping us from continuing.

    'The related entity has already been configured with a cascading or parental relationship. Select a different relationship type.'

    Image One - Relationship Menu
    Image Two - Relationship (this has been changed from Parental to the shown, but we want to change back!)
    Image Three - Show the change taking place
    Image Four - Error Message

  • You've changed the relationship to parental and CRM is complaining. The reason for the complaint is that there is another relationship between something and cases that is defined as parental. Only one relationship can be parental. Check out any custom relationships that you may have added.
