Planning OCS 2007 R2 edge/av server RRS feed

  • Question

  • OK  My question is can I use ISA 2006 for all the nat'd stuff?  What roles (IP stuff) goes through ISA and which needs to be configured via our internet router?  Can someone please clear up all the Nat'd stuff?  We have External 7603 cisco router, we also have ISA 2006 server (which services like, cwa, and owa go through); the Nokia firewalls (cluster) sits behind the routers, so we don't have external/internal Firewall, i guess just external firewall?

I plan on doing Access and AV server, no web conference now.

Please clear this up for me
    thanks for your help.

  • I'm not sure what you mean by 'Nat'd stuff' but in your scenario I'll assume the internal Edge interface is fully routable (and not filtered) to the internal server, as no NAT is allowed between the FE and Edge.  If you deploy a consolidated R2 Edge server you can use NAT on all three external Edge role's IP addresses.  ISA would be used for reverse HTTPS proxy of the internal Web Components IIS site.

Take a look at this article: http://blogs.pointbridge.com/Blogs/schertz_jeff/Pages/Post.aspx?_ID=33
