I was genuine...

Question

Well I was sitting there updating one of my web pages then boom! My windows goes invalid! Wow was I pleased. I thought whatever, its new, I can probably revisit microsoft and revalidate right? No! It says it is not genuine. The case I'm holding sure looks genuine along with all the support links and holographic cd that I sure couldn't dupe. The huge book.
It was an upgrade to vista but it did make me format my hd first. Everything was running smoothly (except for devil may cry 3 which won't work right for the life of me- on xp it did).
I tried to go uninstall some software, I have no control panel, it is deactivated. I'm lucky this has not interfered with my school work as everything seems normal except no control panel and the annoying windows validation spyware pop up ;-P
Plz help me become genuine again, so I can access my control panel and kill the pop up.
