CRM Outlook Client, Unable to connect balloon notification RRS feed

  • Hi All,

    i'm facing an issue with this "Unable to connect" balloon notification issue.
    The issue itself already have a KB for it http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/954307,

    I've tried to enable the anonymous access for the _img and the accesscheck.bmp , but the problem still occur....

    as for the solution no.2 in the KB "Synchronize the IUSR_ComputerName account between the IIS Metabase account and the Local User account" is it refering to change the password in both metabase account and local user account to make it the same?


    Any other suggestion for this issue?

    p.s the CRM inside the outlook is working fine, it's just the balloon pop up keep showing up.

    Thanks for the post; my name is Tamim and glad to help you on this
    issue.

    The reason we get this error message; when there are some connectivity issues between the CRM Outlook Client and CRM Server.
     
    To verify the same, please help me with the following
     information;

    1.> Could you please check if there are some connectivity issues between the client and the server?

    2.> Do you have the latest Update Rollups installed on the Client?

    3.> Please make sure we have only Anonymous Access checked under the Directory Security of _imgs folder under Microsoft Dynamics Website.

    Please help me with the above information so that we can proceed further on
    this issue.
