  • Question

  • Hi
For probably the past 6 weeks i have been getting a pop up saying that my office is not genuine. I bought my copy from the online student deal and have had no problems for the 2 years or so that  I have had it until now and it is getting annoying.
    How can I fix this?
Please dont tell me that I need to buy another copy because this is genuine!

    The report is as follows:

At the moment your computer has two installations of Office, a nongenuine Office Enterprise 2007 and a not-yet-activated retail license for Office Ultimate 2007, the copy you purchased as part of the "Ultimate Steal Deal."

The nongenuine installation of Office Enterprise 2007 is the one causing the nongenuine notices.

    To correct this situation:
    1.  From the Programs applet of Control Panel, uninstall Office Enterprise 2007.  Restart twice.
    2.  Next, open an Office Ultimate 2007 program, such as Word 2007.
    3.  At this point, you should be presented with the Activation Wizard.  If so, activate your copy of Office Ultimate 2007 online normally.
    4.  If no activation wizard, click the Office button, then Word Options, then Resources, then click on the Activate office button.  Activate Office online normally.
    5.  After activation, restart.
    6.  Next, go to www.microsoft.com/genuine and click on the Validate Office button.  Office should validate normally.
    7.  Open Word 2007 and check for nongenuine notices.  You should no longer see them.
    8.  If you continue to see nongenuine notices, we have to clean up remnants of the nongenuine Office Enterprise 2007 installation.  Post back for more instructions on how to do the cleanup.
