Unmatched 'from' address disappears in CRM2013 RRS feed

  • We have recently upgraded our on premises install from CRM2011 to CRM2013.

    In 2011 if you viewed an email record in CRM and one of the addresses in the from, to, cc and bcc fields didn't match any record in CRM2011 then it would be shown in a red font and you could click the address and either apply it to an existing record or create a new one.

    In CRM2013 whilst the form is loading you see the unmatched address in red, but it then disappears once the form has loaded.  This means you cannot update the record.  Is this an expected behavior?

    How can we get the CRM2011 behavior in CRM2013?
