I am using W XP sp 2 for a long time. recently i formatted HD and made 2 partitions C and D. then i installed MS Windows xp in C and also installed various software/drivers from motherboard CD. I use 2 Ext drives G and H apart from two CD drives E for DVD and F for CD. My keyboard is USB and Logitech Webcam also thru USB. My speed is 512. All of a sudden on 24-07-09 when I opened Windows all the icons, start menu, taskbar and tray simply disappeared and not restored still. I am using thru Taskmanager/Run. I have OS and other discs ready but nothing seems to solve the issue. Cannot access WExplorer, or reformat any more. i tried installing Xp again but no use inspite of fresh installation. getting fed up. MS help has answers but they are based on start menu/right click desktop/add exe files etc, which I am unable to perform with a plain desktop. Help me and hurry up. thanks to you all gurus.
