Folder/File sync on 2 computers via usb Flash drive RRS feed

  • Question

  • I currently sync a folder on a windows xp machine with a folder on a usb flash drive using Sync Toy. I would like to sync the same folder (files) on the flash drive to another computer running windows 7 64 bit. The Sync toy version on the Win 7 machine is 2.1 64 bit.

Is this possible? If so, would there be any conflicts between versions?

I have not tried this yet. Any information would be appreciated. Thanks

  • Hi Sparkplugs,

It should be OK, if the SyncToy on your Windows XP machine is v2.0 or v2.1. But please make sure you create distinct SyncToy folder pairs on both of you machines.

    Thanks.

  • JiGuang,

Sorry for taking so long to respond to your post. I have used SyncToy as described above and it works without any problems. Thanks again for your response.
