Why is Live Care still showing me old Subscription End date? RRS feed

  • Question

  • My subscription iwas due to end on 6/2/2009. Last month I bought a new subscription but Live care is still showing the old 6/2/2009 end date.
    When will it start showing the new end date?

  • It can take up to five days for your renewal to update if you renew more than thirty days before expiration. You can check your subscription status by signing in at billing.microsoft.com using the LiveID and password associated with your One Care account.

  • If your renewal is due, you typically will see OneCare turn yellow 30 days prior to expiration and you will also receive an email to your subscription contact email address.
    You can cofirm the subscription status (and your email address) at https://billing.microsoft.com by signing in with the subscription LiveID. If you have a valid credit card on file, your status won't change to yellow, you will still get the email, but your account wil be charged automatically on the renewal date.

  • Go to billing.microsoft.com, sign in using the Live ID and password associated with your subscription and verify your renewal has updated.

    Renewal takes effect on the date that your current subscription expires. It can take up to 24 hours for the subscription status to be updated in OneCare if you are renewing within 30 days of expiration and 5 days if renewal was performed between 90 and 30 days before expiration.

     You can try the following:

    • Check your PC date and time.
    • Check your subscription status by logging in with your subscription LiveID at http://billing.microsoft.com
    • Confirm that this is the same LiveID shown to be the Subscription ID in OneCare - Help/About…
    • Open OneCare and click "Check for Updates" to have OneCare check for updated credentials

    If your subscription is correctly shown at the Billing site, but incorrect in OneCare and your PC date and time are correct, please contact support.

  • Steve;

    I should be coming up for my renewal soon. Do you get a 'poke' from Microsoft about updating fro the software, or an email reminder?

    Thanks.
