Error message trying to open a Embeded Power point file in Word 2016

  My MAC uses OS X El Capitan 10.11.6 when I open a Word file within Word 2016 and try to double click a powerpoint object it appers a window "The program used to create this object is PowerPoint.  That program is either not installed on your computer or it is not responding." Powerpoint is really installed and working ok. Any support will be welcome.
