Xbox live free month can lead to forced auto renewal/SCAM?? RRS feed

  • General discussion

  • Xbox live silver customers who are new to the experience usually get offered the 'one on us' gold deal, which is to provide the customer with a free month of gold in order for them see what they would be getting out of their money.

This sounds good until recently some people have found that when they attempt to cancel 'auto renewal' on their account, find that Microsoft has changed the way this is done and seem to be making it harder for customers to turn off auto renewal.

In some cases customers have needed to change their details in order to access their payment options, which wont take affect until 30 days, this would result in Microsoft charging customers £5.99 when they may have not intended on renewing.

Is this a method of gaining more money off customers?

But doesn't Microsoft have enough money already to resort to these tactics?

    Your thoughts??
