Exposing Just CRM Express

Question
-
Hi, does anyone have a document or a link the describes how I can install the CRM 4 express web interface but only make the http://serverurl/M address publicly available. I don't want the full CRM web interface to be accessible on the web. We have a good vpn system if they require full access.
Would be really useful though to have access to CRM for reference purposes whilts our employees are at client sites armed only with their blackberry's.
Thanks,
Steve

I'm sure you will need IFD but to expose only Mobile access can be hard. It depends which firewall you have because you can separate it using firewall rules.
If you have ISA or kind of advanced firewall ( like linux) it can be done.

Have you considered installing Rollup 7? If so and your CRM system is configured for IFD, then your users can access Mobile CRM through their blackberries and the CRM system administrator can control what entities and attributes within those entities are exposed to the users.

Hi Donna,
Thanks for your reply.
We're looking into IFD but we were hoping to be able to just expose the Mobile CRM to the internet.

We're behind a cisco hardware firewall which is out of my responsibility.
But I will pester my network manager to investigate.
Thanks for you response.
