Cannot mount backup freezes at 81% RRS feed

  • I am using WHS to backup two Netbooks(XPSP3) and two computers (1 XPSP3, the other Win7).  The backups run every day successfully.  When I attempt to open a backup, I am successful except for one of the Netbooks running XPSP3.  I receive the error "Cannot mount backup" which occurs at 81% progress.  I see the Z: drive get mounted but then the mount fails and Z: goes away.  I have performed a repair from the WHS Console and it resulted in all all 4 of the computers being successfully repaired, yet I still can't open backups for the one computer.  I have tried opening several different backups over the last month with no success.  I also ran a check disk on the server which resulted in no errors.  I do not see any errors in the Event Log.  It is not a client issue because I get the same results regardless of which computer I use to try and open the backup.
