Forum inserts code wrong

Question
-
At first I thought this was an issue with the version of code that I was inserting into the forums but came to realize that the forum insert code feature is somehow not inserting my code right.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Edit:
The best i could do is record a screen video of me reproducing the error:
The result of the video is at this link
The video is located on youtube at this link
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Here is a screen shot of my pasting a codeblock to insert:
Here is a screenshot of the result of that exact edit:
For some reason some return possibilities of the select case statement were edited out of my post!!!!!!
For some reason it didn't happen below!!!
But if you're a moderator, try editing my original post here:
Public Function GetRegion(numbercells As List(Of NumberCell), region As SudokuRegion) As List(Of NumberCell) Dim c As List(Of NumberCell) = numbercells Select Case region Case SudokuRegion.Top Case SudokuRegion.TopCenter : Return {c(3), c(4), c(5), c(12), c(13), c(14), c(21), c(22), c(23)}.ToList Case SudokuRegion.TopRight : Return {c(6), c(7), c(8), c(15), c(16), c(17), c(24), c(25), c(26)}.ToList Case SudokuRegion.Center Case SudokuRegion.CenterCenter : Return {c(30), c(31), c(32), c(39), c(40), c(41), c(48), c(49), c(50)}.ToList Case SudokuRegion.CenterRight : Return {c(33), c(34), c(35), c(42), c(43), c(44), c(51), c(52), c(53)}.ToList Case SudokuRegion.Bottom Case SudokuRegion.BottomCenter : Return {c(57), c(58), c(59), c(66), c(67), c(68), c(75), c(76), c(77)}.ToList Case SudokuRegion.BottomRight : Return {c(60), c(61), c(62), c(69), c(70), c(71), c(78), c(79), c(80)}.ToList End Select Return New List(Of NumberCell) End Function

I have also tried several times to reproduce this in the sandbox by copying and pasting code and could not. I tried copying and pasting the code from the original post, and I also tried by copying it to the editor and then pasting it directly from the visual studio editor to the forum.
If the chokes, it's choking on an obscure parser state. I even tried matching every step exactly at it appears in your video and it still didn't reproduce.
Can't say I know what's going on (without being able to reproduce it) but allow me to brainstorm:
- Are there some hidden characters in your source file? Open up the .vb source file in a binary editor and confirm that there are no weird unicode characters in there or weird line endings or something like that.
- Does it happen if you cut and paste from notepad or only from the visual studio IDE? Obviously, we don't have access to your original file...to reproduce this, we have to copy the text from your post. Hidden characters may not survive the transfer.
- Can you pare it down at all? Or is it only this exact text that reproduces the problem?
- I do think that it's interesting that it removed the text "Left : ..." That feels sort of like css attribute formatting or something, so it could be a parser bug of some kind. In which case I'd be very interested to know the minimal amount of code that you need to paste to get this bug to reproduce.
- I can't tell in the video if you're doing "paste" or "paste as plain text". I have trained myself to do "paste as plain text". (Ctrl+Shift+V) sort of compulsively, with paranoid hopes to avoid pasting weird formatting goop that came from the editor.
- Do you have any special addins in your editor that may be formatting your code differently?

I started with 404 lines of code, and the above pasted as 404 lines of code, so, so far here(in forums issues forum), I am unable to reproduce the error. But try editing my thread?

Maybe it has to do with being the initial post of a question?

Are you able to reproduce this at all? Anywhere?
I have to note that your screenshot does not show you using the Insert Code Block feature.
Also, the pieces trimmed out of your code are Left : *

I have decided not to create a NEW thread to test whether I can reproduce the problem or not(as all of my attempts to reproduce have been RESPONSES to a thread).
I believe the problem happens within the initial creation a post. The original question, not a response. Or it could have to do with the length of my code. I'm not sure, maybe "Left:" conflicts with an existing keyword somewhere?

Hello,
You can do further tests in the TechNet Sandbox forum.
Let's see if we can reproduce the behavior :)

Look for the GetRegion function, you will see that it does not match the correct version, although I posted the correct version.

That's very strange
I copied the code from your second post here, and pasted into my first test as Vicual C#, and then as VB.Net and both seem fine to me.
I will paste into Visual Studio 2013 now, then copy from VS, and into the forum.
