Primary contact of an account not present on Associated view RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

We use the CRM 2013 Dynamics.

It is impossible to see when we are on an Account to see on the view "Contact associated view" the primary contact.

When we add the primary contact like an existing contact, the Pr. Contact stay on the view some seconds and then disappear ..

I think that it is due to the relation but I want to be sure.

    Please can you confirm ...

  • The contact associated view shows contacts that are linked to an account using the Parent Customer/Account field on the contact record.  This is through the 1:n relationship from Account to Contact.

The Primary contact can be any contact in CRM and does not show in Contact associated view because it is not a child contact. This relationship is 1:n from Contact to Account. So the contact is a parent to the account.

If you want to see the contact as a primary contact and in the contact associated view you must select the contact in primary contact and also set the parent of the contact (on the contact form) to be the relevant account.
