Problem with creating folders on right side: access denied 0x80070005 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello!

I am using SyncToy 2.1 on a Windows 7 64-bit computer and I am trying to sync files to an external USB drive. I just switched to a completely new external drive and created new folder pairs. At the first run I got errors. For two out of about 12000 folders SyncToy reported:

Error: cannot write to destination file. Access Denied (ausnahme von HRESULT: 0x80070005 (E_ACCESSDENIED))

When I checked maually, both folders have been created on the right side and all files have been copied. I'm a bit confused what I should do with this error. Any solutions?

    Best Regards
