Hi all -
I'm in the process of doing research for upgrading our MS Dynamics CRM 4.0 environment to MS CRM 2011. I have read several articles, such as the following:
http://msmvps.com/blogs/larrylentz/archive/2011/01/24/importing-crm-4-0-organization-into-crm-2011.aspx,
stating that you can in fact import a MSCRM 4.0 database to a MSCRM 2011 environment using the Deployment Manager provided by the CRM installation.
My question is, is there a SQL Server database requirement to perform the importing of the MSCRM 4.0 database to CRM 2011? As of right now, our MSCRM 4.0 database resides
on SQL Server 2005 SP3 and I'm wondering if there would any issue with importing it to a SQL Server 2008 x64 instance, and using that database for MSCRM 2011. Thanks.
