Too many activations

Question
-
I downloaded windows 7 pro through my college's onthehub/dreamspark program.
I recently had to reformat and reinstall, and during attempted activation, it said I exceeded my key count.
I have only put windows 7 on 3 systems, all mine.
The only change to my business system, is an updating of the bios.
How would I go about resolving this?

Use the Activate by Phone method and speak directly and politely with a Microsoft activation representative.

You need to contact the college - they are probably the ones who technically hold the license.
Having said that, as far as I know, DreamSpark Keys are valid for only one computer - you chould check your license terms.

The terms when I downloaded it said that I had the three full installations. I make sure to read EULA's, due to the fact that I myself am a programmer.Tuesday, March 3, 2015 4:16 PM
