I am referring to the windows genuine advantage program.

As I stated in earlier post, I have already installed it twice.

When searching for windows updates I am asked to install the program again.

MY question was "Is it   neccessary to install this program again?"

Periodically, the WGA code is updated or refreshed.  If you are prompted to install a new WGA file, then install it.
Like most software, code may require updates for reliability, performance and security, among other technical reasons.

  • Russ,

Everything appears good based on your MGA Diagnostic results.Right now I am a little confused as you have posted in 4 different areas. We really need customers to stay in the same thread. In a different post you mention installing software more than once? What software are you talking about. Can you provide more informaiton surrounding the problem and what you are actually experiencing. Please though post back in this thread. So far it would appear that you would may need to contact Gateway for support. Please provide us with as much physical detail as you can.

    Thank you,
