Office XP Activation Issue

Question
-
Hi.
I have exactly the same problem as Mr G. Got Office XP Small Business Edition with a Dell PC some years back and then following a hard-drive failure a couple of years ago had to reinstall. Reinstalling and reactivation went fine, now I am trying to validate Office to download the Office 2007 file format converters/views, and it claims my Office is non-genuine.
Output from the MGA Diagnostic tool (Product Key hashed out);Diagnostic Report (1.7.0110.1):

Hi again.
Reading further through the posts on this forum, I found another post that resolved my problem.
By deleting C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Microsoft\Office\Data\Data.dat and then re-activating Office from within Word (or another app would do it I guess) it all seems to work fine - Microsoft now believes I have a genuine copy of Office XP!
Mr G - I suggest reading through the other threads on this forum and giving this suggestion a try. I worked for me, it may do for you too.
