On July 5th., I had a support chat with Fix It Now, because my Windows Media Player was not importing downlaoded music. The tech rep then took control of my computer and said he spotted critical registry errors and corrupted system files. Told
me that it would take 30-40 minutes for him to fix, at a minimum cost of $99, then $139, then even higher "packages". I found this curious and unacceptabe, since my computer was otherwise working fine (Subsequently found a box had not
been checked to have songs downloaded to my Documents folder, and the problem was immediately solved.
However, on re-start, my computer went in safe mode. All restarts and shutdowns continue to boot up in Safe Mode, which will not let me communicate with Fix It Now. What can I do to resume normal bootups? How can I get in touch with Fix
It Now - which clearly seems responsible for this annoying problem?
