I have a person that purchased a laptop with Vista Prem 64 bit software on it and wants to know if it can be used on Microsoft SBS Small business server. He was told it would not work on the domain. If this is true what could he do?

Hi, this Windows Home Server forums, not SBS.
Having said that, you can not join Vista Home Premium edition to a domain. The only thing you can do there is upgrade to Vista Business or Ultimate.
If you need more details please ask your questions on a dedicated SBS forum such as smallbizserver.net
