Participant Invite failed in session with user who is coming from CWA RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have a BOT written using UCCA Api. When some one talks to BOT using Communicator Client and BOT tries to invite some other person into that session, its works. But when some one talks to BOT using CWA and BOT tries to invite some other persion into that session, at that time UCCA api gives following COM Error:

"0x80EE0081 UCC_E_SIP_PEER_PARTICIPANT_IN_MULTIPARTY_SESSION - A peer participant cannot be added to a multiparty session

Any Idea what could be wrong?

  • Office Communication Server maintains Pear-to-Pear session with CWA and you can't invite third users into that. To invite third user you have to first migrate IM session to conference session and then you can invite as many as users you want in that session. Look for "Escalate to a Conference Session" page in UCCA documentation or http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd424900.aspx. One thing to remember that you have to create one more IM session with Chat Server to send and receive messages in conference. The remote participant for the session  would be something like sip:some_conference_owner@somedomain.com;gruu;opaque=app:conf :chat: id:53367611E3E7254A9263B0B6DA2A6387

Please ming :chat: in above sip URI instead or :focus: . :focus: is the main conference uri which is used for inviting users to a conference session.

  • Is the additional participant an OCS user (local or federated) or PIC? Remember you cant add a PIC user to a multi-party conference, this would generate some kind of error like this.

  •  Sorry for late reply ( I was on vacation).

All participants are local OCS users.
