validated but not genuine? RRS feed

  • i have a genuine copy of vista business i upgraded from xp pro vias hp redemption offer. it has been working smoothly for 2-3 weeks activated however just recently it says windows is not genuine. when i am attempting to validate via microsoft.com i am redirected to a page sayign before i validate windows must be activated. according to my computer properties, windows is activated. i have run diagnostic tools and everything has passed. not sure what to do now , any help is greatly appreciated.

  • Could I ask you to try to phone activate and then revalidate again by clicking "Validate Windows" here: www.microsoft.com/genuine

    You can get started with phone activation by typing "slui 4" in the search field in the Start Menu and pressing Enter.  Then follow the prompts, and please speak with a customer service rep when you're given the option.  Thank you!
