wga failed, but I don't believe it...

Question
-
I have a gateway computer with original vista home premium supplied with it
WGA is failing but not telling me what could be wrong
Making me uninstall all my software to find the problem is absurd
I need a more effective answer to this problem than reinstall Vista, as I tried that
successfully two months ago yet I am faced with this ____ again now.
