70-563 has no book? (Along with some other Visual Studio 2008 Exams)

Question
-
Am I crazy? There is no book for 70-563: PRO: Designing and Developing Windows Applications Using Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5?
If there is no book, how can there be an exam?
Should I wait to try for the MCPD: Visual Studio 2008 certification?
Or should I go for 2005 / 2.0 Framework MCPD certs instead?

Hi,
I do not think 70-563 is getting a book.
The syllabus is at http://www.microsoft.com/learning/en/us/exams/70-563.mspx
There is not that much difference from the 2.0 exam.
I recommend using the 70-548 guide book for http://www.microsoft.com/learning/en/us/exams/70-548.mspx
Then just study the extra subjects in the 70-563 exam using the MSDN.
Hope this helps
Geoff

I'm curious how a book on VS 2005 would be equal to a book that supports VS 2008. There are differences. Why would they offer VS2005 & VS2008 sperate tests? Is the only difference the use of VS2008? If so couldnt that be completed using the same test? Something doesnt seem right about this.

Well there is a simple enough reason ..
What changed from Windows Forms 2.0 to 3.5 .. approximately very little hence why you can use it and just update with the small changes. How you deploy Windows Forms for example has changed at all. Architectural problems are still the same.

Can you get the updates with all the differences from 2.0 to 3.5? I dont understand why they put out tests in Feb and still no study guide existing for the extra content.

Once the exams come out there is about a 6 month delay for books if they can get authors. They may not have got authors or the book itself might have been shelved due to the lack of change of content.

no material ,you can rely on TechNet or some materials about the technology and your own experience with the technology . and you can get some useful advice from this ''if no materials for microsoft certifcation"
In my opinion ,Ms press materials can help us better prepare the certification ,however ,there are no materials ,it doesnot mean we can not pass ,just the percentage of passing is low .
