WHICH EXAM TO TAKE FIRST FOR MCTIP WINDOWS 2008 SERVER ADMINISTRATOR

  I need an advice on which exam to take first out of the three required for the mctip win 2008 s.a. Am a first timer?

  
  You need 3 exams to become a MCITP: SA, the 70-640, the 70-642 & the 70-646.
  
  As for which one to take first, you can take them in any order.  However I would say go for the 70-640 first of all, alot of it boils down to experience with the technology, but I found the 70-640 easier than the other exams for 2008 (I did the MCITP: EA route).
  
  Please note that in some areas the 83-640 has replaced the 70-640.

  Hi Chihwa,
  
  
  If you fancy become MCITP: Server Administrator it would required: 70-646, 70-640 and 70-642 only

  but

  if you want ot become MCITP: Enterprise Administrator it would required: 70-647, 70-642, 70-643 and 70-620 or 70-624
  
  
  If you are not holder of any MCITP certs I would stronly advice to pass one of Vista: 70-620, 622 or 623 than jump to Server

  To do the Enterprise Administrator from scratch, which exam is it advisable to study for first?  The 647 or one of the others?

  Start with 70-640 - Active Directory.  What you'll learn/study in 70-642 and 70-646 builds upon what you learned in 70-640.
