Converting trial to full version RRS feed

  • Question

  • I downloaded the trial version of MS Home and Student Edition 2007. My enrollment counseler gave me a website, Ultimate Steal, to download the full version. I did this but it did not transfer my trial of word, excel, or powerpoint. I do have a product key but when I try to enter it this doesn't work. Do I need to uninstall the trial version and redownload it?? Please help!

Information about activation and conversion of 2007 Microsoft Office system Trials can be located on the following webpage:  http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/help/HA101936151033.aspx

Your question, "Do I need to uninstall the trial version and redownload it". The answer is yes uninstall all trial versions prior installing either an OEM or Retail version of new software. I am not sure exactly what you mean about transferring pre-existing word, excel, or powerpoint. Should you experience any problems removing the trial software please review the following Knowledge Based (KB) article http://support.microsoft.com/kb/928218/en-us
