tired of the problems and just want to reinstall but it wont let me

  ok I have win 7 64bit and my girlfriend has screwed my laptop up and all I want to do is reinstall but everytime I start to I get so far and it stops me with a driver issue or a program error.  how can I just format the entire laptop and move on?
