Problem Trying to Activate Windows 7 RRS feed

  • Question

  • i have a computer with windows 7 installed. but it was not activated. the computer is used publicly. so i got a key from my college to activate it. but before it one of my friends tried to act smart and installed some patch. not its saying that the windows 7 is not genuine. i have a genuine product key but i cant use to activate it now it says that status is not available and the product id is not available too. i am not able to enter the key anymore. is there any other way to get rid of the problem than reinstalling the windows 7. i thought that updating might work but the updates could not be installed and the system restore does not seem to work either. please help me..
