Not Enough Space on C Drive to Prepare Backup RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have successfully made full and partial backups with Live One in the past.  However on my last attempt it went through the motions in the prep stage and finally announced that there is not enough space to proceed.  To be clear it is not referring to the external hard drive where my backups are stored but to my internal C Drive.

Is there any way to force Live One backup to use another drive for its prep work?  It would be very awkward fro me to re-size my C Drive.

  • Goudy1,

Thank you for visiting the OneCare program forums.

If you are running out of space, you might want to consider getting a bigger internal hard drive. It may be a good investment for the long term. Backup is meant to recover from a hard disk failure, so unfortunately doing prep work may

work for testing purposes, but it not suggested in case of hard drive failure.

    I hope this helps,
