HELP: Is it possible to delete cancelled Sales orders? RRS feed

  • Question

  • hey we made some test sales orders, and now that they are cancelled or completed i can't delete them..
    Prolly missing something simple

    but been trying to code it

    Dim salesreq As New SetStateOrderCloseRequest()

            salesreq.EntityId = New Guid(Request.QueryString("id"))

            'salesreq.OrderCloseState = OrderCloseState.Open
            salesreq.OrderCloseStatus = 1

            Dim salesresp As SetStateOrderCloseResponse = DirectCast(service.Execute(salesreq), SetStateOrderCloseResponse)

    something like that,

    Is it possible of they read only?

    Thank you

  • Yes, they are read only. If you can't delete them through the normal front-end, you shouldn' tbe able to do so through the SDK.

    Could you revert to a backup?

    Alternately you might be able to modify your views (e.g. ALL Sales Orders) to exclude those created before a certain date.

    You could also potentially modify through the DB backend, but best not to go there.
