Activation Failed. Key typed invalid for activation. RRS feed

  • Below are my results of that tool..  But, if I do the slui.exe 4 command, it just takes me to the main windows activation page with only 3 options. 

    Buy a new product key online

    Type a different product key

    Contact Microsoft to help resolve this problem.

     

    I called MS for telephone support, but, since i didn't have the option to see other ways to activate windows to get to the screen that gives an install ID to give to the phone rep, he couldn't help me..

  • Your computer is uisng and OEM SLP key which is meant for majhor OEM's and it will not perform an online or telephone activation. Your computer does not have the proper SLIC to support a windows 7 SLP activation. You need to enter a legitimate retail key for the SKU installed (professional).

    If you have the retail packaging please lookf for a product key. If you purchased your key online from anyone other than MS you may have been victimized.

    If your windows was installed by a shop or individual you may have to take it back to them and make them fix it.


    Download and run MGAdiag and paste the results in your thread go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=52012
