Hey,
I wonder if anyone can help.
I've just built a Windows Home Server 2011, and am tring to activate it and it comes back with:
A problem occurred when windows tried to activate. error code 0x80070005.

Given you have only just installed, I would be inclined to do a re-install. Clearly something is wrong and that's not a good start to owning a trouble free system.
Have you done any customisation or installed programs outside the Dashboard?

Try using telephone activation.

Tried that but it errors with the same message, which is kind of ironic :(
I did work out that the dashboard isn't working anymore either and comes up with a .net error.
After a bit of research it looks like theres a permissions error happening against an account; perhpas system or administrator
