How to use the video part RRS feed

  • Question

  • I cannot figure out how to get the images from the video I want to use, there are no directs, no videos on it, just on still pics, not an actual video and I keep trying to do it, but just doesn't work. Is there instructions anywhere?

  • Hi, TraceyMcc3,

Could you tell me what format your video is in?

If you could upload your original video file to somewhere like OneDrive or Dropbox and put the link here in the forum, someone here could help you find out whether your video is just in a format that ICE doesn't open or whether we can create a panorama from it in ICE on our computers.

If you want to try an alternate way of getting a panorama from your video file, you can download VirtualDub and some VirtualDub plugins which will help you export almost any video into an image sequence (series of images in an image format of your choice) which you can drag into ICE to stitch.

You can download VirtualDub from here: http://virtualdub.sourceforge.net/
Here is plugin pack 1 for VirtualDub to read more video formats: http://sourceforge.net/projects/virtualdubffmpeginputplugin/
Here is plugin pack 2 for VirtualDub to read more video formats: http://bit.ly/fcchvdub

  • ICE can open your video, once it does that if will show you the video and let you select the start point and end point of the composite you want to do. Once you've done that it will process the video and create a photo you can then export.
