changing website connectivity RRS feed

  • Question

  • Is it possible to use your own domain name <myname.com> instead of the yourname.homeserver.com to configure website connectivity. Without loosing the possibilties as given when using the yourname.homeserver.com

I think there are many families having a domain name who'd like to use this for their WHS

  • No. One of the chief benefits of using the homeserver.com domain, and one which cannot be transferred to another domain, is the free SSL certificate that is automatically installed when you register your homeserver.com domain. This certificate prevents people accessing your server via the homeserver.com domain from seeing a security warning.
I'm not on the WHS team, I just post a lot. :)
