Field Rendering of PrimaryContactId and PrimaryAccountId RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I am using Dynamics 2013.  On the customer form, why does Solution editor insist on putting the PrimaryContactId and PrimaryAccountId lookups onto two rows, where all other lookups are only on 1 line (i.e., label with the field beside it).

Is there any way to turn off this behaviour.  It presents an inconsistent view to the user.  I did try to turn off showing the label entirely, which presented everything consistently and then use tooltips to show the name of the field.  But tooltips in CRM 2013 on lookup fields seem to default to "Select a Value" and ignore what is in the description field.

Has anyone else encountered these issues?

    Thank you.

  • Here you go.

As you can see here, the address field is to the left of the Primary Address label, while the Contact Field is underneath the Primary Contact field... something which you cannot override?

Thank youAddress vs Contact Field in CRM 2013

  • Hi Greg,
looks like you have two sections (Addresses and Contacts), you can try to change the field position settings related to the section.
Under the form editor select the section "Contacts" and click "Change Properties" from the ribbon, after select the Side alignment under formatting.
