"View in CRM" blank page

Question
-
Hello,
When I click the "View in CRM" button in Outlook I am taken to "https://[mycrmserver]/_root/stage.aspx" and it remains a blank page.
I am using Vista / Outlook 2007 / Latest V3C Add-in with Rollup 2. Other than this, the add-in seems to work fine. I can also use the web client without issue.
I'm not sure where to look from here - any advice would be appreciated.
Thank you.

I saw this today as well and tried everything that I knew to do. I figured out the problem and it may sound weird but the issue was due to my network card "Speed and Duplex" I had configured it a while back as 100Mbps Full Duplex , I changed it back to Autosense and closed my IE window. Re-opened it and browsed to my CRM and voila everything was loading very quickly and no blank pages.
Try setting the speed and duplex to whatever your network settings are if it is currently set to Autosense, or vice versa.

Dear
see this http://blog.sonomapartners.com/2007/09/trouble-trackin.html
I found KB Article #911516 had the answer to my problem. If the owner of the appointment (the person clicking "Track in CRM") has their email address in the CRM database more than once, you will receive this error.
Best regards,
Imran

Thanks for the response, but I get a blank IE window and not an error message. Also, I can't seem to login to the site that your KB article points to. Do you (or anyone) know if Actoin Pack users get access to the same support as those who purchase CRM directly?
Any other ideas on why I get the blank window would be appreciated.
If it helps, here is the data sent to the browser in the blank page as captured by Fiddler2

Nope. Same problem. I'm still hoping someone who figures it out will post the answer.
Please post back here if you discover the solution
Thanks.

Well, I actually did try it. I set from Auto to Full Duplex and also tried Half Duplex. No resolution for me yet.
Thanks for the post!
More ideas from the community are welcome

Although it is part of Update Rollup 2 try installing this fix again:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/924079/EN-US/
Your problem happened to one of my clients and reapplying this fix solved the problem. It might not work for you.

Feridun Kadir, thank you for your suggestion.
Unfortunately I don’t think this applies to my issue. I am not trying to send an email and so the problem of missing recipients does not affect me.
I want to open a task in Outlook that I created in CRM. The task is in Outlook due to the CRM Client auto synchronization. At this point I want to click either “View in CRM” or “View Regarding” to get more information about the task or what it regards. When I click either of those I get a blank IE window as described in the above posts.
IE results:
URL is https://[mycrmserver]/_root/stage.aspx
Data as captured by Fiddler2 is:

I can see that the situation is different. Sorry my suggestion wasn't relevant.
The following text in your capture is of concern:
Code Snippetvar LOCID_BU_CANNOTDISABLE = "It has been detected that this operation would deactivate all remaining business units and cannot proceed\u002e";
This is a very strange error for simply trying to view an object. This needs more investigation. Unfortunately I have no suggestions for you.Monday, April 7, 2008 7:08 AMModerator -
Any fixes to this problem? I'm using IE7, Outlook and windows vista. When opening an activity in outlook and clicking "view in crm", i'm getting a blank page.
Suggestions?Tuesday, February 9, 2010 2:32 PM -
I had the same problem and found it here: http://edwardsdnadynamicscrm.spaces.live.com/Blog/cns!D5F22FDCDD6519D5!791.entry
Here is the solution. It worked for me.
- In IE8 go to Tools->Internet Options->Security tab.
- Once there, click to “Reset all zones to default level”.
- Additionally, click “Enable Protected Mode”. I had already had protected mode selected, so I unchecked it, applied it, closed and restarted both IE and Outlook.
- Then went back to re-check it and apply it.
- Again, close and restart both IE and Outlook.

What worked for us was to disable Protected Mode in Trusted Sites but keeping it enable under Internet Sites. The list of sites in Trusted Sites is considered safe enough to run without Protected ModeFriday, September 24, 2010 3:33 PM
