Initial focus on replying to a post RRS feed

  • Question

  • In some of the forums when responding to a post the text area is not focused but instead the (B)old link in the toolbar. Seems to not happen when writing a new post.

    Please remember to mark the replies as answers if they help and unmarked them if they provide no help, this will help others who are looking for solutions to the same or similar problem. Contact via my Twitter (Karen Payne) or Facebook (Karen Payne) via my MSDN profile but will not answer coding question on either.

    NuGet BaseConnectionLibrary for database connections.

  • I've noticed the same behavior.

  • I think the behavior is somewhat new. I just asked so we'll see what they say.

  • Edit: Actually, when I open or return to any page, such as a list of posts, the first item on the page has the focus. When I return to a forum main page, the first post on the page has the focus, so if you press enter it opens. I find this annoying. I have gotten into the habit of clicking elsewhere to remove the focus.
    Same here.

  • Don't shoot the messenger but the reply I got today from engineering;

    This is to inform that the change is by design and now focus will goes to control (B)old, this change is for accessibility requirement.
